DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- The Identity and Access Specialist I will create and maintain network access to the systems at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. This position will be responsible for quickly setting up network accounts for all LCMH employees as well as vendors and contractor staff.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Manager of IT Security Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Strong skill in supporting applications and systems
- Manage user accounts, create, update, and remove access as necessary.
- Knowledge of administration and use of the following: Windows, Active Directory, Imprivata, Sailpoint, Epic, multifactor authentication, and Office 365
- Troubleshoot access issues when required
- Strong skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Customer service focused.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year in an IT environment required.
- Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; Ability to communicate effectively and calmly with physicians, employees, vendors, and other medical personnel. Constitutional disposition capable of remaining productive for extended periods of time during problem resolution and new systems implementation.
- Must possess a high level of patience and tenacity; Capable of rapid problem identification and resolution; Capable of clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be adaptable to change and receptive to delegated responsibilities.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Capable of performing light to medium duty physical tasks.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel.
- Must be free of all communicable disease and be up to date on immunizations.

- Must be available for on call rotation.
