Key ResponsibilitiesIdentity and Access Management
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IAM systems to manage identities and access across the organization.
- Oversee user identity lifecycle, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and modification of access credentials for employees and contractors.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain access control for various cloud-based applications and platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) tools to streamline and secure access.
Security Compliance
- Ensure compliance with security policies, industry regulations, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
- Conduct regular audits of IAM systems and address any findings to align with organizational security policies.
Incident Response
- Investigate and respond to unauthorized access attempts, system breaches, and other security incidents.
- Document and implement corrective action plans to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
User and Role Management
- Define and enforce role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure users have appropriate levels of access based on job functions.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of access logs and permissions.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure seamless integration of IAM systems with other organizational platforms.
- Provide training and support to employees on IAM tools, access control policies, and best practices.
- Act as the primary point of contact for IAM-related issues and support requests.
System Maintenance and Reporting
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to IAM systems to ensure reliability and security.
- Generate detailed reports on system performance, access activities, and incidents for management review.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of proven experience in Identity and Access Management or a related cybersecurity role.
- Hands-on experience with IAM tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD, or GCP IAM).
- Experience in managing server access and implementing RBAC models.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of IAM best practices, security protocols, and compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency with SSO tools and identity federation (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, or similar solutions).
- Familiarity with auditing and monitoring tools to track and analyze access activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Other security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+)
