About the role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Beyond Key Group, the ICT Business Development Manager generates new business for our services in the Australian market. You will identify and qualify prospective clients, understand their technology needs, shape proposals with our pre-sales and consulting teams, and convert opportunities into engagements. Targets and pricing parameters are set by group leadership. Final pricing, contractual terms and execution remain subject to approval by Piyush Goel or another formally authorised officer.

What you will do
  • Research the Australian market and build a qualified pipeline of prospective clients through research, referrals, partner channels, events and structured outbound prospecting.
  • Meet prospective clients to understand their business objectives, technology environment and ICT requirements, and present our Microsoft cloud and business-application, AI, data, analytics and custom-software services.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, statements of work and tender or RFP responses with our pre-sales and consulting teams, and negotiate services agreements within approved parameters, subject to final authorised approval.
  • Support targeted demand-generation activity for the Australian market - including briefings, events, partner activity and digital outreach - with our group marketing team.
  • Develop relationships across the Microsoft partner ecosystem, technology vendors and industry associations to generate referral and co-selling opportunities.
  • Coordinate won opportunities through to service commencement with our onshore and offshore delivery teams, and identify expansion opportunities within those accounts.
  • Maintain the CRM and provide pipeline, forecast and market-intelligence reporting to group leadership.

What you will bring
  • A Bachelor degree in business, marketing, commerce, information technology or a related discipline.
  • At least three years' experience in business development, solution sales or client acquisition for B2B technology services or products — IT consulting, software, SaaS, cloud, data or AI.
  • A track record of identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities for technology services.
  • Experience preparing commercial proposals, pricing estimates and tender or RFP responses, and participating in commercial negotiations.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise technology solutions — cloud, business applications, data and analytics, AI — and the ability to discuss them credibly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, CRM proficiency, experience coordinating with onshore and offshore teams, and the ability to work autonomously in a home-based/hybrid role with meetings across Greater Sydney.

Highly regarded
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud, business applications, data or AI solutions, or comparable enterprise technology platforms.
  • Exposure to targeted demand-generation, partner-led or digital pipeline-development activity.
  • Experience developing ICT opportunities in the Australian market.
