The Role

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join the Information Technology team at ICAT. This role will be based in Broomfield, CO. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office.

The ideal candidate has experience and passion for creating intuitive, easy-to-use digital experiences and modern, easy-to-digest web designs.

This position will work with Marketing, IT and Business stakeholders to create and improve the design and flow of workflows in ICAT’s web applications. This internship will provide hands on experience of real-world user design projects, from ideation to completion. At the end of the internship, the candidate will create or add their work to a portfolio the candidate can use to show their experience in the future.

We will count on you to:

  • Gather requirements and do user research on user stories

  • Build wireframes and storyboards around proposed workflows

  • Design, and assist with implementation of those designs and workflows

  • Follow workflow process on all design projects to ensure timely production of work products

What you need to have:

  • Current juniors with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application and start date

  • User Interface Design, Graphical Design or Web Development education or work experience

  • Applicants must have legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

  • Experience Creating wire frames

  • Web Development Experience (HTML, CSS, etc.) to help build proof of concepts of proposed designs

  • Other technical/development experience (programming of any kind)

  • Experience with analytics, A/B testing, and validation of design effectiveness

What’s next?

Candidates will be required to submit their one-page resume in a PDF format along with work samples such as website, portfolio, any other relevant equivalent.

Note that while ICAT will cover travel to/from Broomfield, CO at the beginning and end of the internship, housing will be at the candidate’s own expense.

Note, this position is a 10-week internship that will offer a competitive hourly rate of $25/hr.
