Job Description

At Wise, we’re on a mission to make money borderless, instant, and convenient for millions of people and businesses worldwide. Our engineers are at the heart of this mission, solving complex challenges and building seamless, secure solutions that customers love.

We're looking for an IC 5 Product Engineer to join our APAC (Asia Pacific) organisation, in the Hyderabad office

APAC customers are a strong contributor to the Wise's growth. With one of the most diverse money movement corridors, multiple markets with different regulations to send, receive, hold and spend, it is essential to scale this organisation tech first. Hyderabad is a new full stack hub and being a senior pioneering engineer helps set the base on which the engineering organization in the location will be built. If this sounds exciting to you then you are in the right place.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the organization:

  • Design and lead implementation of scalable, customer centric solutions tailored to the diverse APAC markets, reducing redundancies and improving the lead time to expand to more markets.

  • Identify, build and maintain automations that mindfully leverage LLMs across APAC and regional markets to improve speed and efficiency.

  • Own evolution of product observability stack to identify gaps, and unlock new opportunities for growth and operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders throughout Wise, plan roadmaps with your team, and work through challenges to determine scope and realistic delivery.

  • Be responsible for the technical health of APAC regional expansion organization through accountability, ownership and mentorship.

  • Develop a strong technical opinion on the design of regional solutions and be involved in feedback for design and ADRs for the APAC and regional expansion.

Qualifications

A bit about you!

  • You have solid Java 17 plus knowledge and experience with Spring framework and microservice architecture with at least 10+ years of work experience

…but don’t worry we don’t expect you to know everything!

Some extra skills and experiences that would be great:
