Job DescriptionPower the engine of Wise. The Payin team looks after the critical first step of every customer’s journey: funding their transfer. We are a full-stack team that owns the entire payin lifecycle, from backend partner integrations to frontend user experience.
You will architect API and SFTP integrations, design strategies to intelligently route customers to the best payment methods, and create frictionless UX for both one-off and recurring transactions. Your work will be measured by its direct impact on our most important metrics: the volume of money moved and the rate at which customers successfully complete payments.

QualificationsKey responsibilies
- You have a strong product mindset and genuine passion for user experience — you prioritize customer value and make data-driven decisions.
- You have 2+ years of experience with Java or Kotlin knowledge, experience with Spring framework and micro-services
- You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development
- Experience working with relational databases, query optimization and designing schemas
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, operations and banking teams to prioritize projects that enhance customers’ payments. Leverage strong communication skills to effectively manage expectations and deliver seamless integration of new features.
- You have a self-starter attitude with a collaborative spirit — you work well independently and across teams.
- You are a strong communicator and can articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audience. You know how to communicate with multiple teams and find the best solution that suits everyone.

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
We expect new joiners in the office most days to build connections and learn from colleagues for their first six months. After that, most Wisers split their working week between the office and home, typically coming in at least 12 times a month.
