Description:
• IBM XIV- Creation of storage pools, volumes, mapping VDisks to host.
• IBM SVC- Creation of MDG, Vdisk, mapping host, Expand Vdisks
• IBM V7000- Creation of MDG, Vdisk, mapping host, Expand Vdisks
• Configure host in SVC / XIV and allocate Storage.
• Replicate using TPC-R sessions
• Failover/Failback using TPC-R(DR Tests)
• Flash copy & Metro mirror creation in SVC & XIV.
• Advanced trouble shooting skills on storage & switch end when issue arises.
• Zoning implementation on CISCO switches.
• Performing Storage forecast report on periodic basis.
• Fault status checks & respond to alerts from storage and co-ordinate with vendor for repairs
• Upgrade SVC/V7000/XIV firmware code.
• Design and Carve out mdisk group from IBM SVC
• Virtualize the existing storage array behind the SVC.
• Implementation of thin provisioning
• Migrate the Vdisks across the storage array depending upon the load.
• Performance troubleshooting at SVC , External Array, SAN Switch level. Adding extra SVC node to the existin (1.) Incident Management + Change Management (Planning & Execution) On - call Escalation

Skills Required
- Experience with IBM XIV storage systems
- Experience with IBM SVC storage management
- Knowledge of Cisco switch zoning implementation
- Experience in performance troubleshooting at SAN Switch level
- Hands-on experience with storage replication and disaster recovery testing
