Role Overview

We are seeking a Vice President to join our Real Estate Investment Banking team in London. This hire will play an essential role in leading transaction execution, supporting origination efforts, and strengthening client relationships across the European real estate landscape.

The ideal candidate will have strong real estate sector knowledge — including experience with listed real estate, private real estate investors, REITs, property operators, alternative lenders, and/or real‑asset‑backed platforms — combined with a proven track record in sell‑side M&A, financing transactions, and strategic advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution Leadership

  • Lead the execution of M&A, equity, debt, and strategic advisory transactions across the real estate sector.
  • Manage full deal processes, including due diligence coordination, transaction materials, workstream oversight, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review, refine, and guide complex financial models, valuations, leveraged analyses, and transaction structures.

Client Coverage & Strategic Advisory

  • Prepare and deliver pitches, sector updates, and strategic dialogues to senior executives, boards, and investment committees.
  • Support senior bankers in maintaining key client relationships and contributing to ongoing origination efforts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client portfolios, strategic priorities, capital structures, and competitive positioning.

Sector & Market Insight

  • Monitor trends across European real estate, including themes within logistics, residential, data centres, hospitality, living sectors, and alternatives.
  • Carry out market mapping, investor analyses, and transaction benchmarking to support advisory efforts.
  • Provide insight on valuation dynamics, capital flows, regulatory developments, and capital market conditions.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Oversee and mentor Associates, Analysts, and interns, ensuring best‑in‑class deliverables.
  • Collaborate across Jefferies’ global platform — including sector, product, and international teams — to drive high‑quality outcomes for clients.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of investment banking experience, ideally with a focus on Real Estate, Real Assets, FIG (Real Estate coverage), or related verticals.
  • Strong experience in M&A execution, including leading workstreams and interacting directly with management teams and clients.
  • Advanced technical and analytical skills: valuation, modelling, transaction structuring, capital market mechanics.
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of European real estate markets, investor landscapes, and sector‑specific valuation drivers.
  • Strong team leadership qualities and a collaborative approach.
