Job Description

We are seeking an IAM Provisioning Consultant to support the transformation and centralization of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across the enterprise. The IAM Provisioning Consultant will work within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization and support the migration of application access fulfillment activities from business-line provisioning teams into IAM.  This role will partner with business, technology, security, and risk teams to assess existing access management processes, support application onboarding into a centralized IAM operating model, and help ensure access provisioning activities are executed consistently, securely, and in accordance with governance and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis, process improvement, access governance, and stakeholder management skills with a passion for operational excellence.

The consultant will also perform application provisioning and reconciliation activities and support consistent execution of access management processes.  This role will help identify process and control gaps and contribute to improvements that strengthen access governance, standardization, and operational effectiveness within the centralized IAM fulfillment model.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assess and document current-state access provisioning and deprovisioning processes, workflows, roles, and operational dependencies across business and technology teams.

·       Analyze fulfillment volumes, operational requirements, and provisioning activities to identify opportunities for process standardization and optimization.

·       Support application onboarding and transition readiness assessments for integration into the enterprise IAM operating model.

·       Partner with application owners, security, risk, and business stakeholders to identify and remediate access governance and control gaps.

·       Process and validate approved access requests, ensuring user access is provisioned, modified, or removed accurately and in compliance with established procedures.

·       Perform access reconciliation reviews, investigate discrepancies, document exceptions, and support remediation efforts to maintain access integrity.

·       Develop and maintain process maps, SOPs, runbooks, training materials, and operational documentation to support consistent execution and knowledge transfer.

·       Support transition planning, cutover activities, stabilization efforts, risk tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance IAM operations and governance.

Basic Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

·       3+ years of experience in business analysis, process management, technology operations, risk management, governance, or related disciplines.

Required Skills/Experience:

·       Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), access provisioning, user lifecycle management, or access governance functions.

·       Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups.

·       Experience documenting and analyzing operational processes.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with limited direction.

·       Strong understanding of access controls, entitlement management, provisioning, deprovisioning, and reconciliation processes.

·       Experience working with security, risk, audit, compliance, or governance frameworks.

·       Proven ability to perform business analysis, process mapping, workflow documentation, and requirements gathering.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

·       Experience creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, runbooks, process documentation, and training materials.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across business and technology teams.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

·       Experience supporting large-scale IAM transformation, application onboarding, or operating model transition initiatives.

·       Familiarity with identity governance, entitlement reviews, audit readiness, and access certification processes.

·       Experience working within highly regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.

·       Knowledge of IAM platforms, access request workflows, and automated provisioning processes.

·       Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and process maturity.
