Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Process and Automation Engineer to drive infrastructure automation, improve operational efficiency, and optimize IT workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation tools such as Chef, Terraform, Ansible, and others. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments, enforce compliance, and enhance system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline and optimize IT infrastructure and operational processes.

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Chef, puppet and related technologies to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure environments.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance configuration management frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, scalability, and security across platforms.

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines to enable automated infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate closely with Project, Operations, and Security teams to define, implement, and enforce infrastructure standards, governance, and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts, infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and system integrations.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

• Implement service orchestration and API-driven automation solutions to improve operational effectiveness and reduce manual interventions.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including automation workflows, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and automation best practices to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Have 6 - 9 years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure automation.

• Strong expertise in Chef / Puppet with proven experience in designing and managing large-scale automation environments.

• Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps toolsets.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, Ruby, or PowerShell.

• Experience with service orchestration and API-based automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
