Job DescriptionAct as technical advisor for I&C engineering / control systems scope during developer bid review and RFP/specification preparation. Lead technical due diligence, verify compliance with project/off-taker requirements, identify risks and deviations, prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation, and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional registration, chartership, or OEM/utility/off-taker experience is preferred.
Required Experience
- 10+ years in CCGT/thermal plant I&C, DCS/SIS engineering, bid evaluation, FAT/SAT and commissioning support
Technical Expertise
- DCS/PLC; GT/ST control integration; HRSG controls; BMS; ESD/SIS; field instrumentation; control narratives; SIL; cybersecurity; historian; SCADA/LDC/dispatch interface; IEC/ISA standards. IEC 61511, IEC 62443, ISA 18.2, ISA 84, IEC 61131, IEC 61850/IEC 60870-5-104 where applicable, DCS/SCADA architecture standards
Commercial/Contract Awareness
- Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, LD-linked performance clauses, interface obligations, acceptance testing requirements, and developer deviations
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline
- 10+ years in CCGT/thermal plant I&C, DCS/SIS engineering, FAT/SAT and commissioning support
- Experience with DCS and PLC implementation and architecture
- Experience integrating GT/ST controls and HRSG controls
- Knowledge of ESD/SIS, BMS, field instrumentation, control narratives and SIL
- Experience with SCADA, historian, LDC/dispatch interfaces and protocols
- Familiarity with IEC/ISA standards (IEC 61511, IEC 62443, ISA 18.2, ISA 84, IEC 61131, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104)
- Cybersecurity knowledge applied to industrial control systems
- Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees and test/acceptance clauses
- Professional registration, chartership, or OEM/utility/off-taker experience
