- Coordinates and oversees completion of Form I 9 and E Verify processes. Ensures accurate collection, review, and retention of employment eligibility documents in accordance with federal regulations. Serves as the primary contact for departments regarding I 9 requirements.
- Supports New Employee Orientation. Advises and monitors the accurate completion of I 9 documentation, addresses questions, and escalates issues when necessary. Maintains data integrity in HR information system. Inputs employment eligibility information, runs edit reports, performs quality assurance checks on I-9 and E-Verify deadlines prior to payroll processing, and scans required documents.
- Monitors regulatory changes on Form I-9 and E-Verify. Advises management on compliance requirements. Implements strategies for continued and strengthened regulatory compliance. Recommends and implements improvements to I 9 and E-Verify policies and procedures. Prepares compliance reports and communicates issues to department leadership.
- Conducts ongoing audits of employment eligibility records. Corrects identified issues, coordinates re certification efforts, maintains re certification records, and sends required notifications. Communicates and assists employees in resolving E-Verify tentative non confirmation results.
- Supports HR Data Management by maintaining employee records, ensuring data integrity within the HRIS, assisting with document management and record retention, conducting quality assurance reviews, supporting HR Operations projects, and partnering with departments to resolve data discrepancies and improve HR processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in human resources; or Associate degree (or a minimum of two years of college) and three years of relevant experience in human resources.
The department is especially interested in candidates with experience in employment documentation, personnel records management, compliance or regulatory processes, and/or customer service in an HR environment.
