Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute the design, analysis and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and program / product requirements.
- Cross functional knowledge of high-speed fluid dynamic, mechanical systems and thermal response and application to rapid development of prototype hypersonic propulsion systems
- Develop mechanical systems from proof-of-concept to final manufacturable component using 3D CAD
- Perform analyses ranging from classical textbook methods and 1D spreadsheet calculations to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to predict structural, thermal, and/or fluidic behavior of systems/components.
- Prepare drawings to manufacture prototypes or components of an experimental setup
- Document and communicate assumptions, inputs and proposed solutions to multidisciplinary teams for review
- Support validation of new designs and technologies through benchtop or larger-scale testing
- Prepare presentations and slides to communicate ideas and/or progress on projects
- Ability to work well in with Integrated Product Teams to create and verify novel design solutions that meet established program objectives and requirements (technical, cost, schedule)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and applying them to technical tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems including stress analysis
- Skilled in mechanical design using 3D CAD Siemens NX or equivalent
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- US citizen

The base pay range for this position is $114,000 - $152,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on December 31st, 2026.
