We are looking for an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our Waters team in Whakatu. In the day-to-day operations you won’t just be operating the Hydrovac Truck, you will be scheduling and organising jobs, liaising with customers and clients as well as assisting in general duties. Ideally you will be experienced in jet and vacuum trucks, for the right candidate we can teach you the skills needed to use a Hydrovac. What really matters to us is getting an experienced, capable truck driver who takes care of their machinery.
In addition to the above you will:
Drive and operate trucks and machinery in a professional and safe manner, always aware of your surroundings and conscious of the safety and wellbeing of others
Ensuring trucks and equipment comply with all transport regulations (i.e. COF, Rego)
Ensure that the plant is ready for daily operation at the designated times
Maintaining the Hydrovac and equipment in a presentable condition

We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum Class 4 licence with a minimum of 2 year’s Truck Driving experience
Experience operating jet and vacuum trucks would be advantageous
Mechanical aptitude and high priority towards taking care of your truck and an excellent attitude toward the maintenance and care of machinery
Flexibility to perform various daily tasks and grow with the team
Good understanding of site safety and hazard management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
First Aid certificate is desirable
