Job Description
Perform duties to set up all sizes of bellows forming machines with previously prepared die.
Work from work order, prints, and instructions.
1. Adjust as necessary and operates to produce parts to quality and quantity standard.
2. Diagnose and corrects malfunctions by adjusting or changing setups.
3. Inspect forming tools for wear, misalignment, deterioration, etc. and effects minor repairs that would not necessitate machine operation.
4. Set up, adjust, and operate prior and subsequent secondary operations.
5. Reads, interprets, and understands blueprints, specifications, and performs any related tests.
6. Familiar with properties of metals used.
7. Pi tap caliper, micrometer, and common hand tools.
Use hand truck, forklift, hoist, scale and common hand tools.
Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Successful completion of a pre-employment test is required as part of the selection process.
- 2+ years of experience performing setup of production equipment in manufacturing setting
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Understanding of safe work practices in an industrial environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed to support production requirements
This position is part of the bargaining unit and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Base Hourly Pay: $23.06/hr; 2nd shift premium as applicable: $1.00/hr
