Job DescriptionWe’re looking for skilled Hydraulic Fitter to join our Christchurch team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our fleet of over 100 trucks running safely and efficiently. Your work will directly support our essential services and ensure our vehicles remain reliable on the road. You will be tasked with carrying out breakdowns, diagnostics and repairs on a large variety of faults, both mechanical and electrical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all vehicles to a roadworthy standard and ensure compliance with regulations
- Carry out repairs on the Hydraulic components on our fleet
- Work with Operations Supervisors to plan vehicle maintenance
- Complete thorough technical inspections of vehicles
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs in job sheets and the in-cab Vehicle History File
- Manage workflow through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Requisition parts and consumables as required
- Carry out daily checks of workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are serviceable and accounted for
We’re looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance, and/or automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis (preferred)
- Experience using CMMS systems
- A Class 4 Driver’s Licence (advantageous but not essential)

- Location: 301 Marsh's Road, Christchurch
- Hours: 45 hours per week from 15:00PM to 1:30AM, Monday– Thursday 15:00PM to 20:00PM Friday
