The Opportunity

KBR have an exciting opportunity for a Hydraulic Designer to join our Buildings team in Melbourne. This is a key role in the business and a great opportunity for someone looking to join a global company and take the next big step in their career. You will be heavily involved in a range of infrastructure projects focusing on the design and modeling of hydraulic and fire service systems.

This role works under general supervision as a technical specialist and performs all conventional aspects of hydraulic design while also devising new approaches to problems encountered. You will have an opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Who are you? 

We’re looking for someone with:

· Experience in hydraulic and/or fire modelling or a similar role in the building services industry.

· Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

· Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and relevant Australian codes and standards.

· Ability to produce drawings/models with minimal supervision.

· Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects is highly regarded.

· Familiarity with Navisworks, ACC, and Revizto.

· Knowledge of PDF software tools such as Bluebeam or PDF Exchange.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
