Hybrid Coordinator - Nursing
Position Summary:
Each school offering hybrid programs through a consortium agreement with Fortis College in Centerville (“Host Institution”) employs an individual based at the campus who is responsible for supporting the success of hybrid program students in their online courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hybrid coordinators are key members of the campus community and integral to the success of students enrolled in hybrid programs. Hybrid coordinators build student-centered relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including students, campus faculty and staff, and representatives from the Host Institution. The responsibilities below are related to hybrid program applicants or students in online courses.
- Support the remediation of applicants who fail the Online Competency Assessment.
- Facilitate the Online Student Success Course (Orientation to Online Learning)
- Build supportive relationships with hybrid program students
- Monitor student grades and attendance, and connect with students on-campus when they are below passing for two consecutive weeks or have not attended an online class in seven days or more
- Meet on-campus with at-risk students who are escalated by the online advisor
- Respond to student questions about online classes (preferably face-to-face) within 24 business hours; partner with online advisor as needed
- Troubleshoot student technical issues with support from the Online Advisor and technical support as needed
- Connect online students to supportive resources and local campus leaders when needed
- In coordination with the campus academics team and online advisors, provide mid-mod or mid-term advising for at-risk students (poor attendance, low grades)
- Use CampusVue to review notes and document all student contact
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate degree required, and a minimum of an LPN
- Strong technology skills in MS Office and the internet
- Demonstrated passion for supporting student success; prior experience in student services is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of an organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Prior experience with a learning management system, such as Canvas a plus
- Prior experience with a student information system, such as CampusVue a plus
