About the role

The Inside Technical Sales Representative at Heads Up Technologies (Aftermarket Division) is responsible for sales activities and support for aftermarket products and services in Business Aviation. This person will work with sales leadership to perform proposal support, prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management, project management, process improvement, and CRM administration to drive and support revenue growth.


This job can be located anywhere in the U.S.


What you'll do

  • Proposal Support:
    • Support Technical Sales Managers (TSM) proposal requests.
    • Interface with customers to define and generate proposals and supporting materials.
    • Render cabin management switch panel layout, and speaker layout diagrams.
    • Generate block and wiring diagrams in support of all aftermarket products.
    • Generate quote worksheets.
  • Sales Execution and Support:
    • Assist TSM with opportunity follow up activities.
    • Perform proactive lead generation activities for current and new customers.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including MROs and business jet operators.
    • Set the bar for exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
    • Manage opportunity pipeline using Salesforce to ensure reliable reporting.
    • Exercise diligence in logging relevant activity in Salesforce.
    • Salesforce administration and data entry.
    • Monitor Group Sales Inbox and communicate requests to TSM.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with Systems Engineering team to define technical solutions.
    • Coordinate tuning schedule with Systems Engineering and customers.
    • Work with OEM Sales as needed to support overall company strategy and positioning.
    • Support post PO handoff to Operations.
    • Support product roadmap discussions for EOL and future product developments.
    • Join weekly sales pipeline and planning meetings.
    • Join customer sales support meetings as needed.


What will make you successful in this role

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Preferred 5-10+ years in market/customer facing roles.
    • Aviation industry, specifically aftermarket sales to Business Aviation.
    • Cabin Management, Audio, and Lighting Systems knowledge preferred.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
    • Bias for action and execution.
    • Process oriented and commitment to continuous improvement.
    • Knowledge of the aviation industry and aftermarket products/services.
    • Strong technical aptitude/ability to learn new products and interfaces.
    • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite including Visio.
  • Requirements:
    • Ability to travel approximately 25-40% for client meetings and industry events.
