Position Description:
We are looking for a Human Resources Support Specialist to join our Human Resources Team to improve infrastructure in our Taylor office. The candidate must have a high school diploma and two to three years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including start date coordination, first-day logistics, and alignment with hiring managers and People Services
- Initiate and monitor pre-employment requirements (background checks, drug screenings, etc.), ensuring compliance and timely completion
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure new hires are fully prepared for day one
Process onboarding documentation through HR systems (UKG, Lever, DocuSign, and related platforms) - Support benefits administration and general People Services transactions
Support offboarding activities, ensuring accurate system updates and completion of required documentation - Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems, including job, compensation, and work location information
- Perform I-9 verification and support E-Verify processing in compliance with DHS regulations
- Maintain electronic personnel files and ensure proper document management
- Provide administrative support across People Services, including data entry, reporting, and audit preparation
- Coordinate and distribute People Services communications and documentation
- Maintain and update position descriptions, templates, and standardized materials
- Update documentation to reflect changes in processes, policies, and systems
- Organize and maintain shared resources, files, and reference materials
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Support Learning Management System (LMS) data entry and maintenance
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- High school diploma
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field is preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Two to three years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of O365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with HRIS software (UKG Pro) preferred
