Quanex is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team located in Owatonna, MN.

As a trusted and confidential advisor, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing Human Resources support through relationships with management and employees while providing direction and guidance at our Owatonna, MN location. The position is supported by a Human Resources Generalist and Coordinator. You will manage the delivery of Human Resources on matters related to employee relations, performance management, training, talent management, and legal compliance.

What Success Looks Like: 

  • Closely partners with leadership on a broad range of HR services, providing coaching and consultation that contributes to the client strategy and business goals.

  • Resolves complex and broad employee relations problems or issues.
  • Oversees execution of human resources policies, and programs.
  • Accountable to ensure employee information such as personnel records and HRIS are up to date and accurate.
  • Lead employee investigations in alignment with organizational and legal standards.
  • Ensure consistent, timely, and accurate application and compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Your Credentials:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or a related field required. Master’s degree and/or HR certification preferred.
  • Expertise in a broad range of topics including employment law, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership development, succession planning, change management, culture assessment, employee/labor relations, and workers compensation.
  • Experience in working within fast paced, complex, dynamic manufacturing business environment.

Salary Range: $95K - $115K plus bonus potential
