We are seeking a strategic, hands-on and solutions-oriented Human Resources Manager to lead HR and workplace support operations for a business unit within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role serves as a trusted HR Manager to business leaders, providing guidance on complex employee matters, including workplace investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution and policy interpretation. The HR Business Partner is responsible for managing a broad range of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, compliance, training and HR systems.
In addition, this role oversees workplace and administrative support activities, including office support functions to drive effective site operations and a positive employee experience. The successful candidate is a strong communicator and problem solver who builds effective relationships, exercises sound judgement and balances strategic HR initiatives with hands-on operational support.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations for the business unit, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, compliance and HR administration.
- Partner with business leaders and Corporate HR to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, company policies and HR programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers by providing coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, workers' compensation, conflict resolution and policy interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, company policies and HR best practices.
- Support compensation planning, salary recommendations, organizational development initiatives and workforce planning activities.
- Manage HR systems, employee records, reports and workforce metrics to support business decisions.
- Supervise, coach and provide direction to HR and administrative team members, including office support functions, to ensure effective execution of HR programs and workplace support activities.
- Oversee workplace and administrative support services, including vendor coordination, invoice processing, employee events, badge administration, locker management and other site services.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR and cross-functional teams on HR initiatives, process improvements and special projects.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years of progressive HR experience with strong expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, manager coaching, performance management and talent acquisition.
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment and rapid workforce growth.
- Previous HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience managing HR in a multi-site or global organization a plus.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP), HR reporting and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence leaders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance strategic HR responsibilities with hands-on operational execution.
- Bilingual in English and either Vietnamese or Mandarin Chinese preferred.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD or equivalent HR certification preferred.
Pay Range: $85,000 - $120,000/year
