Position summary

 

The position of HR Intern will be responsible for supporting HR operations. This role will provide practical experience while helping deliver timely, accurate, and service-focused support to employees.

 

Reporting to a Manager, the Intern will ….

 

What will you do in this role?

  • Assist with responding to and routing employee HR inquiries. 
  • Support onboarding communications, documentation and task tracking. 
  • Maintain employee records and update HR systems assigned. 
  • Assist with routine HR transactions and employment changes. 
  • Support data audits, reporting, file maintenance, and document management. 
  • Help create and update process documentation and job aids. 
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Provide general administrative support to HR. 

 

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. 
  • Previous administrative, customer service, or internship experience is preferred. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Accuracy in data entry, recordkeeping, and document review. 
  • Professional judgment, reliability, and willingness to learn. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and escalate questions appropriately. 

 

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the base compensation range for this role is $29-30/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on several factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.
