As a People Operations Intern, you will play an active, hands-on role across the full employee lifecycle, talent acquisition support, HR process ownership, culture-building, and learning & development. This is not a purely administrative role — you will be trusted to own workstreams end-to-end, exercise judgment, and work directly with stakeholders across Malaysia, Singapore, and North America. This role offers deep exposure to both the operational backbone of HR and the culture-building programs that make Rapsodo a thriving workplace. Due to the sensitivity of information handled, absolute professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion are required.

What you'll do

People Operations & Employee Lifecycle (ELC)

  • Own key employee lifecycle tasks end-to-end: pre-onboarding, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Prepare HR documents (offer letters, onboarding kits, checklists, exit materials) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain and update HR trackers, employee records, and shared drives, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries in the KL office, providing guidance and sharing relevant resources or SOPs with employees as needed.

HR Process Building & Systems Ownership

  • Take ownership of shaping and refining the ELC process
  • Help with HR process clean-up, ensuring all templates, forms, and trackers are up-to-date and standardized.
  • Learn directly from global HR colleagues, helping where possible and documenting insights to help shape better processes.
  • Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, and communication — we're always open to better ways of working.

Talent Acquisition Support

  • Coordinate interview scheduling for hiring managers and interview panels
  • Conduct resume screening across a range of roles
  • Conduct phone screens and document clear, well-reasoned candidate assessments to support hiring manager decisions.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs throughout the internship recruitment process, including postings and candidate coordination.

Employee Engagement & Culture Events

  • Own the planning and execution of quarterly culture and bonding events, bringing creative ideas that build a strong team culture.
  • Collaborate with interns across global offices on shared projects that reflect and strengthen “Team Rapsodo” — our shared identity across regions.

Learning & Development

  • Design and develop L&D content and programs for the team.
  • Developing L&D initiatives into fully-fledged projects, from concept through to rollout.

  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and ability to organize and prioritize work independently across multiple workstreams.
  • Comfortable exercising judgment and making recommendations, not just following instructions.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment, including collaborating with stakeholders across time zones.
  • Creative and comfortable proposing and driving new ideas, especially around culture and engagement.
