HR Generalist (Kansas City, MO)
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist serves as a core member of the People Operations team and acts as the first point of contact for employee‑related questions and concerns. This role is responsible for providing day‑to‑day HR support across the organization while also contributing to strategic initiatives, including learning and development, engagement, and process improvement efforts.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first line of defense for employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, time off, HR programs, and general employment matters.
• Triage employee relations issues, conduct initial fact‑finding, document concerns, and escalate sensitive matters as appropriate.
• Partner with managers to resolve routine performance, attendance, and conduct issues in a consistent and compliant manner.
• Support employee investigations and corrective action processes in accordance with company policies and employment law.
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and other core HR processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
• Support the creation, coordination, and rollout of learning and development programs across the organization.
•Assist on strategic HR projects, including engagement initiatives, onboarding improvements, and performance management processes.
• Help track and report basic people metrics and program outcomes as requested by leadership.
Ideal candidate will possess:
-Experience supporting employee relations in a generalist or similarly broad HR role
-Experience partnering with managers on day‑to‑day people matters
-Exposure to learning and development, training coordination, or organizational initiatives
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally
