Starting Range: $22.08/hourly to $25.39/hourly.

The United Pentecostal Church International is currently recruiting for the position of Human Resources Generalist within Church Administration. The purpose of this position is to serve as administrative and human resources support to the Human Resources Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Maintain a knowledge of human resources practices to include: recruiting, selection, training & development, safety & emergency preparedness, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, employee relations, and general human resources administration.
- Provide customer service solutions to employees by responding to inquiries from phone calls, emails, or other methods of communicating.
- Assist with processing benefits.
- Prepare or maintain records related to events, such as new hire benefits, open enrollment, qualifying life events, and terminations, using human resources management system software.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely data transfer to payroll.
- Process benefit billing to confirm correct billing and departmental charges.
- Assist the Human Resources Director with scheduling and/or conducting trainings.
- Assist Human Resources Director with safety to include: maintaining safety manual and training schedule, maintaining incident reporting, processing workers’ compensation claims, and coordinating emergency response drills/communications.
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational posters and signage, employee-related policies, employee personnel files, or performance evaluation forms.
- Confer with management regarding personnel policies and procedures.
- Analyze data and prepare reports related to human resources management.
- Be available to travel for General Conference and other events as requested.
- Serve on Employee Committee and participate in related activities as assigned.
Minimum Training and Experience Required
- Have a working knowledge of human resources management.
- Experience with or ability to learn a human resources information system.
- Experience with or ability to learn Adobe (PDF documents).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Experience creating promotional content with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc., preferred.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with organization, record keeping, and customer service.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Experience with office equipment (specifically computer, scanner, fax machine, printer).
- Knowledge of administrative office procedures and terminology.
- Careful attention to details.
- Ability to work well within a team and across various departments
- Industry-specific training, certifications, or education with an aPHR or PHR or ability to acquire within one year.
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s in human resources or related degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
