Are you a strategic, people-focused HR professional looking to make a real impact in a mission-driven organization? We’re seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Turners Falls, MA. This is an on-site role supporting a diverse and collaborative environment, where your expertise will drive key HR programs and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

As our HR Generalist, you'll manage a wide range of responsibilities essential to the health and effectiveness of our organization, including:

  • Overseeing recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

  • Administering competitive benefits and employee evaluation programs.

  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, etc.).

  • Supporting employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.

  • Collaborating with leadership to improve HR policies and enhance employee engagement.

  • Fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive, respectful, and aligned with our mission and values.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources management.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and state/federal labor laws.

  • Proficient in Google, Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.

Physical Requirements
  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • Primarily a sedentary role; must be able to:
    • Remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods.
    • Operate a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
    • Communicate effectively via phone, video conference, and email.
    • Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Occasionally lift or carry office supplies or packages up to 20 pounds.
