POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist is responsible for owning the onboarding and orientation process, managing the Learning Management System (LMS), and providing support across the full HR life cycle. This role exercises discretion in determining employment eligibility based on background check results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring compliance and a positive experience.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, tracking, and reporting.
- Exercise discretion in evaluating background check results and determining employment eligibility.
- Respond to general HR inquiries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
- Support HR processes across the employee life cycle, including recruitment coordination and employee relations assistance.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Assist in communication and interpretation of HR policies and contribute to process improvements.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Three or more years of HR experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with integrity.
Skills Required
