Responsibilities & QualificationsThe Human Resources Generalist (HRG) plays a critical role in supporting both associates and management by ensuring effective HR practices and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This position manages various HR functions, including recruitment, associate relations, compliance, benefits administration, and training and development. The HRG partners closely with the General Manager to drive strategic talent management and create Exceptional Associate experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prioritize Safety
- Actively promote a culture of safety by participating in weekly safety meetings, floor walks, and support the implementation of ImageFIRST safety programs.
- Ensure incidents are reported in compliance with EHS guidelines within established timeframes.
- Collaborate with the safety committee to maintain OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory compliance.
- Monitor safety boards, share findings with leadership, and ensure certifications and training are up to date.
2. Maintain 97% Staffing Levels
- Lead recruitment efforts for non-exempt and select exempt roles, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to hire right and retain top talent.
3. Foster Associate Engagement
- Build trust by conducting daily floor walks, engaging with associates, and addressing HR-related concerns in a timely manner.
- Partner with leadership to create a positive workplace culture through recognition, respectful communication, and engagement initiatives.
- Support and facilitate "Be Remarkable" meetings and ensure the "Lead the Way" program is effectively executed.
- Oversee the Associate Experience Cycle, ensuring all associates are supported during significant employment milestones.
- Support the Associate Engagement Committee by driving inclusive, cross-functional initiatives that enhance culture, recognition, and overall associate experience while ensuring accountability, participation, and continuous improvement.
4. HR / Benefits Administration
- Partner with corporate Benefits to communicate updates and changes, organize informational sessions, and provide personalized support to associates.
- Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation.
- Maintain associate benefits compliance and answer inquiries promptly.
5. HR Processes, Compliance, and Policy Implementation
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including I-9 verification, WOTC tracking, and maintaining associate files.
- Oversee the display and accuracy of required federal and state employment postings.
- Deliver onboarding presentations and maintain HR process consistency.
6. Training and Development
- Coordinate and monitor required training for associates, ensuring compliance and completion rates are high.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to identify and develop high-potential associates, implementing personalized development plans.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of HR generalist experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Proficiency in ATS systems, HRIS software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
