Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting Concilio's people-first culture by providing comprehensive Human Resources support across the employee lifecycle. This position partners with employees, supervisors, and leadership to deliver exceptional HR service while ensuring compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and HR best practices.

The HR Generalist supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, training and development, HRIS administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

This role reports to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Director of Human Resources to advance strategic HR initiatives aligned with Concilio's mission and organizational goals.

What You'll DoTalent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Facilitate a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions.
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Track employment clearances, required certifications, and onboarding milestones.
Employee Relations
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace questions.
  • Support employee relations matters while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and fairness.
  • Assist with workplace investigations and documentation.
  • Partner with managers to promote a respectful, inclusive, and positive workplace culture.
  • Assist with employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
Performance Management
  • Coordinate annual performance review processes.
  • Support managers with coaching documentation and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Assist with employee development planning.
  • Maintain performance records within Paycom.
Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and benefit-related questions.
  • Coordinate new hire benefits enrollment and qualifying life events.
  • Support annual Open Enrollment activities.
  • Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers' Compensation documentation.
  • Coordinate with Concilio's benefits broker and insurance partners as needed.
Compliance & HR Operations
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel records.
  • Support HR audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with policy implementation and employee communications.
  • Ensure proper documentation, confidentiality, and record retention standards.
HR Systems & Reporting
  • Maintain employee records within Paycom.
  • Generate HR reports and workforce metrics.
  • Assist with onboarding workflows, electronic documents, and HRIS maintenance.
  • Maintain HR templates, forms, and SharePoint resources.
  • Support data accuracy across HR systems.
Learning & Employee Development
  • Coordinate required employee training.
  • Track mandatory certifications and compliance training.
  • Assist with professional development initiatives.
  • Support leadership development and employee learning programs.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with Paycom or another Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, child welfare, or human services organizations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
