About the Role
The HR Generalist position is responsible for the day-to-day HR support needed to seamlessly operate all HR programs, policies, and initiatives for PREMIER employees. Performs a variety of tasks and customer-service support to employees for a variety of human resources programs, processes and initiatives including talent acquisition, employee relations, leave process and paperwork, workplace accommodations, benefits, and other general human resources areas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving non-exempt performance evaluations.
- Review and consult with departments to approve non-exempt Level I and II corrective actions.
- Conduct ergonomic workstation evaluation upon employee request. Schedule ergonomic specialist to visit location if necessary. Work with employee with appropriate paperwork for accommodation.
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
- Ability to support Human Resources Manager with employee related issues when needed.
- Intermediate knowledge of payroll processing and reporting.
- Complete weekly/monthly reporting and prepare periodic reports for management, as requested.
- Assist with exempt and executive level recruitment as necessary or requested.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines.
- Knowledge of federal and state and employment benefit laws.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally.
- Capable to build effective relationships with employees and managers.
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of human resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.
