POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle, including personnel actions, offboarding, workforce administration, employee relations, performance support, employee communications, reporting, and general HR support. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this role works closely with managers, employees, and cross-functional teams to ensure HR processes are completed accurately, timely, and consistently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Manages employee lifecycle transactions, including promotions, transfers, supervisor and crew changes, terminations, and other personnel actions, ensuring required documentation and approvals are completed accurately.
- Manages the employee offboarding cycle, including required HR administration, documentation, system updates, employee and manager communication, exit processes, and coordination of company property return.
- Coordinates position, requisition, and headcount administration, including new position requests, additional staffing needs, employee changes, and related HR documentation.
- Maintains workforce, staffing, and HR tracking tools to ensure employee changes, open needs, and related records remain accurate and current.
- Coordinates HR administrative activities related to employee and supervisor changes, including system access, company-issued resources, payroll-related documentation, and other required support.
- Supports employee relations matters as assigned, including investigations, documentation, case tracking, and appropriate follow-up with employees and managers.
- Supports performance management processes, including review and follow-up of performance discussions and related documentation.
- Leads quarterly survey reporting and related workforce reporting, including analysis of results, identification of key trends, preparation of reports, and communication of findings to HRBP and appropriate stakeholders.
- Provides day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers and collaborates with HR and cross-functional partners to ensure timely and consistent HR support.
- Maintains accurate and confidential employee information and HR records in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have dependable transportation to commute to the worksite consistently, as public transportation may not be available or feasible for the location.
- Successfully passes all applicable pre-employment testing, including background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any required aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3-year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- 2+ years of human resources experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.

- Ability to maintain accurate spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and employee documentation.
- Successfully completes New Hire Safety Orientation and annual recertification.

The HR Generalist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the HR Generalist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the HR Generalist should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
