Sedgebrook Senior Living in Lincolnshire is looking for an HR Generalist to join their amazing team!
The Human Resources Generalist partners with the HR Director to support key HR functions, with a primary focus on full-cycle recruitment and employee onboarding. This role develops creative recruiting strategies, builds candidate pipelines, supports hiring managers, and helps attract and retain qualified employees. The position also assists with benefits, employee relations, training, compliance, and special HR projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned departments, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessments, selection, onboarding, and new-hire follow-up.
- Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines, particularly for high-turnover and hard-to-fill positions.
- Create engaging job postings and utilize job boards, niche sites, social media, and other recruiting platforms to attract qualified candidates.
- Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and professional groups to expand recruiting efforts.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, open houses, and other recruiting events.
- Partner with department leaders throughout the hiring process, providing interview support, candidate feedback, and hiring recommendations.
- Maintain and update job descriptions, interview materials, and other recruitment resources.
- Stay current on recruiting trends and identify new strategies to improve candidate attraction and retention.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding to create a positive new-hire experience.
- Support employee retention initiatives by identifying trends and partnering with leaders to develop solutions.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee relations, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, ADA, training compliance, and HRIS administration.
- Assist with employee events, special projects, and other HR duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or 3-5 years HR experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Experience with an HRIS programs preferred
Able to handle multiple priorities
Able to work independently
Possess excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and be able to multi-task
Experience in ATS and payroll systems, preferably Oracle Recruit, Kronos,
