Job Summary

The Director of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. The HR Director is responsible for ensuring timely support, resources, and guidance for the organization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and manage comprehensive HR policies encompassing payroll, paid time off (PTO), benefits, holidays, and more.
  • Construct, oversee and present offer letters, ensuring clarity, legal compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Management and execution of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Track, manage and report on key employee related metrics, such as retention, turnover and tenure by position.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters, employing a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Management of annual performance reviews and merit-based compensation plans.
  • Exhibit the ability to create and implement performance improvement plans, coupled with the production of relevant HR documentation.
  • Partner with the CEO on communications strategy for Signature (i.e. townhalls, newsletters, formal emails, etc.).
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors on company’s annual benefits renewals.
  • Partner with the executive team and legal counsel on sensitive employment related issues.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture through adept conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering professional growth and development.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Deep experience, understanding and proficiency with ADP
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency and works well under pressure
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the initiative to work independently
  • Excellent team player and ability to collaborate
  • Highly detail-oriented and accurate
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Represent the company with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to efficiently handle a variety of confidential information
  • Solid integrity, responsibility, and accountability

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in HR (i.e. Coordinator, Generalist, Manger, or Director)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong competency with ADP and dashboarding metrics
  • Strong understanding of national laws related to HR
  • Based in Phoenix and able to work in the office

 

Compensation:

  • Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary, performance bonus, and equity.
