About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director to join our team. This role supports a group of manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Director is responsible for leading a team of HR Site Leads to deliver people-focused initiatives, apply sound HR practices in both represented and non-represented environments, and lead strategic projects that move our business forward.
You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Developing and executing Human Resources initiatives that drive an enhanced employee value proposition and the delivery of business unit/functional strategies

Partnering with cross-functional leadership to identify improvement opportunities and drive effective change management

Providing sound guidance to HR site leads and functional partners - through collaboration with centers of excellence - in the areas of employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, talent management, organization development, and staffing for in-scope manufacturing facilities

Driving organizational effectiveness through the educated application of human resources programs, principles and practices that drive employee engagement and positive business outcomes

Ensuring compliance and risk management by remaining current with applicable employment laws and regulations and supporting leaders in interpreting policies and collective bargaining agreement language

Utilizing strong project management skills, oversee the planning, execution, and completion of strategic HR initiatives that align with functional objectives
Important Details: This is a full-time remote-based role with frequent travel (up to 50%). The ideal candidate will be based in Illinois or Texas.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:

Minimum of 7 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a Human Resources role, with at least 3 years of direct management experience (with multi-site experience strongly preferred)

Bachelor’s degree strongly desired in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related discipline
-
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines with a focus on employee relations, labor relations, human resources analytics, staffing, performance management and employee engagement
