Human Resources Director HR

Apple Valley Village and Apple Valley Villa have a great opportunity for an HR professional with collaborative interpersonal skills as well as strong HR policy and procedure expertise in areas such as performance management, Work Comp, FMLA, benefits, and payroll. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has healthcare industry experience, specifically in a long-term care setting. 
As the HR Director to our senior healthcare center and assisted living campus, you will be a member of the campus' management team and will report to Campus Administrator with dotted line to the Home Office VP of HR. You will also have the support of a full time HR Assistant.
This position is Full-Time.
Pay Range: $65,000 to $90,000 / year depending on experience.
HR Director Job Duties:

• Provides leadership to site to create and maintain positive employee relations & culture.
• Supports and ensures employment process including advertising, screening and job offers are handled in a timely and legally compliant manner.
• Performs investigations or provides detailed guidance to managers to perform them when appropriate.
• Serve as primary resource to managers, supervisors and staff in matters of employee performance management. Including discipline and/or termination.
• Applies accurate knowledge of employment law ensuring solid practices
• Supports effective benefit administration, including helping support annual open enrollment process.
• Assures HR policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to accordingly.
• Responds to unemployment claims and hearings as needed.
• Ability to work with management team to track and assist with performance evaluations

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in HR Management preferred.
• Workers compensation and unemployment experience required
• Working knowledge of employment law 
• Knowledge of safety/risk management
• Application of benefit administration
• Demonstrated experience of employee relations
• Strong computer skills
• College degree in Human Resources or related experience in the field
• Ability to prioritize manage and direct workflow and tasks
