JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Bilingual HR Coordinator (English and French) to join our Canadian Human Resources team. Under the supervision of the Canadian Human Resources Manager, you will support a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and compliance. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in both employee files and the Workday HRIS.

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general HR matters.

  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee data changes (e.g., new hires, leaves, terminations).

  • Assisting with basic payroll concerns and support internal payroll audits

  • Prepare HR documents, including employment contracts, policy updates, and employment verification letters.

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Assist with the full-cycle recruitment of Canadian roles, including creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, and overseeing the background check process.

 

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, providing necessary HR information, and ensuring a smooth integration. Ensure the communication of new hires to the business.

  • Coordinate exit process for departing employees, including preparing termination letters, requesting and coordinating return of company property.

 

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Maintain accurate benefit records in the 3rd party benefit portals.

  • Assist with the administration of group benefits, pension, and wellness programs.

  • Support employees with benefits-related questions and coordinate with providers as needed.

  • Support the management of various leaves of absence. (parental leaves, STD/LTD)

 

HR Projects & Support

  • Support the HR Manager in HR projects such as performance management cycles, engagement surveys, and DEI initiatives.

  • Manage the employee service award program.

  • Maintain the HR SharePoint up to date.

  • Create or update job descriptions as needed.

  • Assist with HR reporting and analytics, including turnover, headcount, and recruitment metrics.

  • Stay current on HR trends and legislative changes in Canada.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual (English and French) is required

  • 2-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a similar capacity

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrate superior relationship management and customer-service skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Results-driven with the ability to take initiative

  • Understands the importance of and demonstrates a high level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

 

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS

  • College diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar areas.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Location: Burlington, Ontario (On-Site, in person)

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
