Boone Memorial Health is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position plays a key role in creating a positive experience for candidates and new employees by coordinating recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, and employee support.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and enjoys working with people while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do- Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting positions, managing applicants through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), scheduling interviews, and preparing hiring documentation.
- Lead the onboarding process by coordinating pre-employment requirements, new hire paperwork, orientation, and communication with department leaders.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and ensure employment documentation is complete and compliant.
- Provide exceptional customer service to applicants, employees, and leaders by responding to Human Resources inquiries and assisting with employment-related processes.
- Support employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and other Human Resources initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous healthcare Human Resources experience.

What We Do
Boone Memorial Health is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit healthcare system based in Madison, West Virginia. It primarily serves patients across Boone, Lincoln, Logan, and southern Kanawha counties, operating a critical access hospital with a 25-bed inpatient unit, Level IV Trauma Center, and Black Lung Center, as well as rural health clinics and a substance and mental health treatment program.
