Position SummaryThe Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. They will support a broad range of human resources functions such as facilitating Welcome Orientation, recordkeeping, filling, scanning, and data entry.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, some college preferred OR an equivalent combination of experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Must have experience with high volume phone calls.
- Must possess excellent analytical skills.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills in greeting, and welcoming visitors and staff members.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database software.
- Ability to use standard office equipment including phone, fax, and copier.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including active listening, problem solving, and ability to remain calm in emotional or stressful situations.
- Commitment and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and the public.
- Must have concise written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks based on deadlines.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, respecting and valuing the perspectives and experiences of others.
- Ability to type 45 words per minute.

- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability
- Facilitate Welcome Orientation on a biweekly basis.
- Greet and welcome guests and staff.
- Answer phones and direct the calls to the appropriate person.
- Maintain electronic files including reformatting and converting documents to PDF format.
- Follow-up on action items for performance improvement plans.
- Participate in all internal HR audits and other compliance related audits.
- Ensure all personnel records are maintained as per employment laws and governing and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure mandatory trainings are updated and completed for new hires and existing employees.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to HR processes and procedures for regulatory and governing body compliance.
- Perform data-entry of pertinent data and submit electronically to the appropriate agencies.
- Ensure that equipment is properly sanitized including workstations and equipment.
- Responsible for our Open Inward (employee of the month) picture and voucher distributions.
- Track and distribute keys to staff in the administration office and Health Center sites.
- Schedule conference rooms when requested.
- Create identification badges for employees in a timely manner.
- Complete verification of employment.
- Open, scan, distribute mail, and order business cards.
- Draft documents, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other written material.
- Assist the Chief of Human Resources and Director of Human Resources with special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work environment is characteristic of an office environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and arms to reach. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care. The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
