AVI Foodsystems is looking for an HR Compliance Specialist at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH.

The responsibilities for this position include:
- Conduct pre-employment compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
- Apply working knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards to daily HR operations
- Process pre-employment clearances, including background checks and required screenings
- Communicate screening results to appropriate internal partners in a timely and confidential manner
- Maintain and update employee personnel files in accordance with compliance requirements
- Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (3+ years in HR preferred)
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resource information systems (HRIS)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
