Sonic Healthcare USA has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in Austin, TX. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving people initiatives, strengthening organizational culture, and enhancing the employee experience.

Position Summary:

The HRBP provides end-to-end HR support across employee relations, investigations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance. This role serves as a trusted advisor, managing complex employee matters with sound judgment and discretion.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive employee engagement
  • Lead and manage employee relations matters, including conducting prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions
  • Provide expert guidance on conflict resolution, corrective actions, performance improvement, and policy interpretation
  • Administer and support HR programs, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Collaborate with leaders to create, update, and maintain job descriptions and organizational structures
  • Facilitate performance management processes, including coaching managers on effective feedback and development planning
  • Support onboarding initiatives to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and benefits with a high level of customer service
  • Monitor HR trends and metrics; conduct audits; prepare reports to support data-driven decision-making
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; proactively advise leadership on risk mitigation
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations and investigations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices (healthcare preferred)
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification a plus
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Workday experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Periodic travel within the division territory
