NEOGEN JOB ADVERT – HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (LEXINGTON, KY)

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in delivering effective HR support to on-site leadership and employees within a manufacturing environment. This position offers the opportunity to be hands-on in all facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and strategic HR partnership. Acting as a key liaison between employees, management, and the broader HR function, this role contributes directly to creating a positive and productive workplace culture aligned with Neogen’s mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as a strategic business partner to site leadership, aligning HR practices with manufacturing operations to support business goals.

• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR policies, practices, and procedures.

• Coordinate with divisional and corporate HR to implement company-wide policies and meet key project deadlines.

• Lead on-site talent acquisition efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

• Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate employee offboarding, including exit interviews.

• Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and termination procedures in accordance with company policy.

• Support on-site workplace safety initiatives, including accident investigations and documentation.

• Coordinate employee leave programs such as FMLA, LOA, and Workers’ Compensation, ensuring compliance and communication.

• Partner with operations and HR leadership to develop programs that support employee engagement and retention.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Skilled in conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and problem-solving.

• Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
