Summary/Objective:
The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to assigned business leaders and employee groups, providing proactive HR partnership and guidance across employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, engagement, compensation, benefits, compliance, training, workforce planning, and organizational change. This role supports business priorities while helping foster a positive, compliant, high-performing, and employee-centered workplace culture aligned with GGG’s values.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with leaders and managers across assigned client groups to understand business needs and provide practical, timely HR guidance and support.
- Build strong relationships with employees and managers, serving as a trusted point of contact for HR-related questions, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Provide employee relations support, including coaching managers, resolving employee concerns, supporting investigations, and recommending fair and consistent outcomes.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies; partner with internal resources and outside counsel as needed.
- Work with managers to identify employee engagement opportunities and support action planning based on survey feedback, business needs, and organizational priorities.
- Facilitate the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and documentation.
- Partner with managers and Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning, position approvals, recruiting strategies, candidate interviews, selection, and onboarding.
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive employee experience and successful integration into the organization.
- Partner with leaders on talent development, succession planning, career growth, retention, and organizational capability.
- Provide guidance on compensation practices, job titles, grade alignment, bonus structures, and internal equity, in partnership with HR leadership and Finance as appropriate.
- Support benefits administration and employee changes for assigned client groups, partnering with HR team members, Payroll, and vendors as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee documentation and HRIS data related to employee changes, performance, onboarding, offboarding, leaves, and other HR processes.
- Support training and development initiatives, including compliance training, manager education, leadership development, and employee learning opportunities.
- Monitor workforce trends and employee feedback to identify opportunities for improved communication, process consistency, and employee experience.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve policies, practices, systems, and processes across GGG.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and business information.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced, multi-site, distribution, food, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, HR compliance, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trusted partnerships with employees, managers, and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong coaching, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and with discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with ADP or other HRIS platforms preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $148,000 annually plus bonus.
Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q1 of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
