Job Description:

  • Provide strategic and tactical human resources business partner support to management and employees across multiple locations.   
  • Act as the point of contact for HR-related processes, issues, questions for client groups.
  • Track and report on key metrics, designed to measure and predict staffing and other activities.
  • Understand the business, be closely aligned with the operations management team, and serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Support the implementation and administration of HR programs and processes including but not limited to:
    • Strategic staffing, succession planning and talent management, and performance management.
    • Compensation and benefits management and training.
    • Employee training and development as set out in the HR training strategy.
    • Employee relations matters including, coaching, and counseling managers and employees to improve performance. Conducting confidential workplace investigations, and actively managing performance issues to resolution.
    • Identify workforce requirements in consultation with business leaders and drive programs for talent attraction and retention with the HR team.
    • Partner effectively with the HR and functional teams to ensure business needs are met.
  • Lead and/or execute HR projects and initiatives to drive the business forward.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s HR policies, processes, and practices. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state (especially California) and local employment practices and labor laws.
  • Exercise influence through ongoing development of internal/external relationships across the organization.
  • Role model of the Company’s ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a 4-year accredited college or university.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of HR business partner with at least five (5) years of experience
  • Ability to work with all levels of the Company, from front-line employees to senior leadership.
  • Strong consultative and customer-service skills, with the ability to perform as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to problem solve and proactively offer a variety of options and solutions to issues.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment and wage laws required
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and to respond to changing demands from multiple sources.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as a team member.
  • Highly proficient in working independently in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish, or at a minimum, possess a strong working proficiency in the language.

Potential travel up to 35% to domestic locations
