SUMMARY
Westerman is looking for a full-time HR Representative that will work closely with the HR Manager in support of its new Licking County facility. This role is responsible for start up and staffing of the new facility in addition to full life cycle recruiting, benefit administration, payroll, staffing, data entry, and general administration of human resources policies and practices.
The successful candidate is a process-oriented individual with a drive for providing excellent service. To be effective in this role, you must have strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, strict attention to deadlines, and the ability to operate and interact effectively with internal and external business partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.
- Recruiting and staffing: Posts requisitions, sources, screens, and interviews candidates for hourly production positions, recommends candidates for hire. Is responsible for pre-employment coordination and onboarding process, facilitates new hire orientation, partners with staffing agencies for temporary workers.
- Benefits administration: Communicates, explains and answers employee questions regarding benefit plans, employee assistance program services, FMLA and disability processes among others. Guides employees through the annual Open Enrollment period.
- Analyze processes and practices: Completes analyses and makes recommendations to improve processes and procedures, compiles data and research for designated HR projects at both the local and corporate levels.
- HR administration: Coordinates performance management items, personnel and HRIS filing and maintenance, employee trainings, records retention, and provides reports to the HR department.
- Payroll: Reviews employee timecards for accuracy, processes payroll, manages referral and sign-on bonus programs.
- Miscellaneous program coordination: Including, but not limited to, wellness program initiatives, company events, Leadership Training Program, service and recognition awards, invoices, uniform and boot voucher programs.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
