Position Overview

The HRBP will also lead initiatives in employee engagement and culture transformation, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This position will be based in Leawood, KS and will report to the Chief People Officer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Core HR Operations
- Oversee benefits administration and leave management through coordination with Corporate HR support staff.
- Oversee recruitment of non-exempt positions, hiring, onboarding, and employee development programs.
- Assist Talent Acquisition Manager on the hiring and onboarding of professional and management positions.
- Maintain personnel files for all active employees and manage HR transactions in HRIS system (Workday) accurately and on a timely basis.
- Provide accurate tracking of attendance for non-exempt personnel, including verification of call-ins
Employee Development and Performance
- Identify training needs and coordinate with Corporate HR to develop programs to support employee growth and skill development.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and team effectiveness.
- Prepare, track, and conduct employee training sessions to reflect strategic talent development.
- Assist senior HR leadership with talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
Workplace Culture and Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions for sensitive matters.
- Design and implement employee engagement strategies and action plans.
- Serve as a culture ambassador, promoting company values and fostering a positive work environment.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with regional and local management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business objectives
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive data-informed decisions.
- Drive change management strategies to support business transformation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field; master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a HR Manager or HR Business Partner or leadership role.
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
