The Role
Job summary

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a partner to HR and organizational leadership and employees on HR-related matters, aligning people strategies with business objectives. This role provides expertise in the areas of employee retention and engagement and acts as an employee champion and change agent.

PayRate: $75,000-85,000

Essential Functions:
  • Works with departmental leadership to understand staffing needs and managers the hiring and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Conducts weekly new hire orientations ensuring HR as a known presence.
  • Prepares offer letters for management level new hires and internal job changes (transfers, promotions).
  • Attends weekly meetings to manage all employee start dates and termination dates.
  • Partner with HR and organizational leaders to understand business goals and drive performance.
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Support initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, team effectiveness, and a culture of inclusion.
  • Ensure HR policies are communicated, understood, and applied consistently.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Records disciplinary actions in HRIS system and provides periodic reporting to HR and organizational leadership.
  • Attends meetings with managers and employees for any final or termination corrective actions.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manages Sub-Contractor entry into contractor and HRIS system.
  • Runs and prepares quarterly bonus reports for eligible staff.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Other projects as assigned

  

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Multi-state employee experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SCP certification.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced or matrixed environment.
  • Experience working in remote environment and comfortable being on camera helpful.
  • Experience working in Dayforce
