Job Description
Sirtex is searching for a Human Resources Associate to join our talented team of A-players. This position is designed as a support role and development opportunity for an early career human resource professional. Working closely with the Sr. Director, Human Resources and the global HR team, the HR Associate serves as a vital link between employees and the HR department. The HR Associate helps to support HR processes and requirements across the Americas region and ensures HR functions are carried out efficiently and effectively.
This is a 2 day hybrid / 3 day on-site position. Candidates must be able to work onsite at the Woburn location Tues, Wed and Thurs 8-5 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team prepare offer letters and other documentation as needed.
- Manage pre-employment screening process
- Support system changes to our enterprise hiring platform, Smart Recruiters
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and setting up employee files.
- Oversee new hire and termination workflow for communication to IT, hiring managers, finance etc.
- Perform exit interviews
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Support payroll processing by providing accurate employee data and resolving payroll-related issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries about payroll and benefits.
- Manage leave of absences in compliance with local and federal requirements.
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment and ongoing benefits changes (change of status) for all Americas employees
- Manage Vendor Credentialing
HRIS Superuser and Employee Record Management
- Sage People Super User (implementation, new functionality, reporting, training)
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job titles, and employment history.
- Manage employee data in HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure that all HR records are accurate, confidential, and up to date.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc HR reports and analytics.
Employee Relations
- Corporate policy revision – updates, posting, and development under the direction of the CHRO
- Create, update and maintain job descriptions.
- Draft and distribute all employee letters pertaining to promotions, job changes etc.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns and issues.
- Help to implement and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Coordinate Sirtex Service Awards
Compliance and Reporting
- AAP/EEO Reporting and record keeping
- Manage immigration and relocation efforts under manager supervision
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports such as turnover, employee demographics, and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 2-3 years’ HR experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Energized, proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal, written, presentation), and customer service skills with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Results oriented with the ability to offer recommendations and solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ SharePoint/ Outlook).
- Adaptable to change and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet timelines.
- Trustworthy and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
The target base salary range for this position will range from $63,000 to $72,000 annually. Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including your geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed job-related skills and experience.
In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex’s incentive programs (target bonus of 5% for this position) and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
