The Human Resources Assistant is mainly responsible for processing payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the Human Resources Assistant will assist with the employee benefits processes, ensuring that all benefits are administered correctly.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process payrolls for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime.
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions, including employee information and hours worked.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans and other benefits programs.
- Respond to employees’ inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Prepare reports for management, including payroll summaries and benefit summaries.
- Stay up to date on local payroll and benefits regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Must be diplomatic and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capable of working under pressure and prioritizing work.
- A high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage strict deadlines for payroll processing and submission.
- Must be proficient in the use of computer technology.
- Excellent customer service skills
