Rapid Industries is looking for a part-time HR Assistant to join their growing team! This is an entry-level position, requiring 20-30 hours per week. The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s HR department.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with weekly payroll including processing time cards, answering employee questions, fixing timeclock errors, and distributing checks/pay stubs.
  • Providing clerical support to the HR Manager
  • Assisting with weekly job costing and labor allocation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Perform periodic audits of employee files and records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local law.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the proper employee/department.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with, or have the ability to quickly learn payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Paychex Flex is a plus.

Experience:

  • Entry-Level position
  • Prior HR/Administrative Assistant experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
